Town of Junius and Seneca County Maps
Seneca County has a smokehouse on Dublin Rd. (Jun-12 Mulcahy Smoke House [Sen - 17]) which has brick quoin corners which are too variable to be described. Roudabush Survey page 17
A small smokehouse at Dublin and Avery Roads has brick corners (not really quoins) and its stones are large and irregular, and of various colors. The mortar is v shaped at the edge, while the verticals are embellished slightly. The mortar contains large pieces of calcium carbonate. Roudabush Survey page 101
These are the ruins of a small cobblestone barn with brick quoins that still existed in 1993 on the J. Bishop farm on the south side of Dublin Road near the corner of Justice Olp Road in the town of Junius, 1.7 miles west of Dublin. That building is gone. It collapsed during the winter two years ago. The "smokehouse" or "small barn" at the corner of Dublin Road at Avery Road Spur (corner of Justice Olp Road) apparently no longer exists. I was not able to find any building in that area, unless it was very short in height and was located inside corn rows growing in a field near that corner. I doubt very much that it could have been hidden in that field. So, I would say that the building no longer exists. I shall try to get a phone number (no number listed in the phone book) to talk to Dale Smith who you think is the property owner. I will get back to you if I do manage to talk to him.
